Romance Thriller by Jennifer Armentrout
Moonlight Scandals (book 3 in the de Vincent Series)

Book Boyfriend: 💋💋💋💋.5
Devlin de Vincent is known to the world as the Devil.  Heir to the de Vincent Empire, he is cold, calculated and overly protective of his family.  He is also extremely attractive in a modelesque way. Dev is the oldest of the three brothers and the most closed off.  It is almost as if he isn’t human. He sacrifices himself and his needs/wants over and over again for his family. Dev tries to carry the burdens of his cursed family on his own so his brothers can lead a happy and normal life.  What he doesn’t realize is that his brothers want to share the burden so he can be happy too. I don’t think he truly understands the definition of happy until a certain woman flails into his life… repeatedly.

Strong Female Lead: 💋💋💋💋💋
Rosie Herpin has three degrees and isn’t using any of them.  She works at her parents’ praline shop in the middle of New Orleans and has a thing for ghosts, spirits and the undead.  Rosie lives life to the fullest because she knows how quickly it can end. Her life hasn’t always been unicorns and butterflies.  She’s experienced deep hurt that she still carries with her. Because of that, she tries to be free-spirited, fiercely loyal and she has sass in spades.  Rosie is quick witted and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I want to be her friend!

Plot: 💋💋💋💋💋
This is a series so you need to read it in order.  There are parts of the story that you will not understand without background.  Some of the obstacles were introduced in the first book and didn’t tie up until the third.  I loved how this book took me on so many turns and had unexpected twists. The story was bigger than the relationship between Devlin and Rosie and I appreciated that.  The story takes place in New Orleans and brings that southern charm and folklore to the mix. I did not want to put this book down and found the whole series to be incredibly written.

Steamy Factor: 💋💋💋.5
There is unequivocal sexual tension between Rosie and Devlin that you can cut with a spoon.  The back and forth, which can get old, was perfectly done. There were some extremely steamy scenes that got kind of detailed (I skipped some parts… yeah, I know, i’m a pansy… haha).  It wasn’t, however, over the top or crude.

Overall: 💋💋💋💋💋
I really had a hard time putting this book down.  I loved getting to know the inner workings of Devlin and how he opened up to Rosie.  The twists and turns and unexpected (but expected) plot twists were great. The ending to the book and series did the boys justice and I highly recommend this series.

Book Summary from author:
Even a ghost hunter like Rosie Herpin couldn’t have foreseen the fateful meeting between two mourners that has brought her so intimately close to the notorious and seductive Devlin de Vincent. Everyone in New Orleans knows he’s heir to a dark family curse that both frightens and enthralls. To the locals, Devlin is the devil. To Rosie, he’s a man who’s stoking her wildest fantasies. When a brutal attack on her friend is linked to the de Vincents, he becomes a mystery she may be risking her life to solve.

Devlin knows what he wants from this sexy and adventurous woman. But what does Rosie want from him? It’s a question that becomes more pressing—and more dangerous—when he suspects her of prying into the shadows of his past.

Now, the legends surrounding the de Vincents may not be myths at all. But if she’s to discover the truth, she must follow them straight into the arms of the man she can’t resist—the handsome devil himself.
