Romance Thriller by Jennifer Armentrout
Moonlight Seduction (book 2 in the de Vincent Series)

Book Boyfriend: 💋💋💋💋
Gabe de Vincent is the middle brother in the de Vincent clan.  He keeps his hair longer, avoids family business and is an incredible craftsman.  Gabe actually has his own woodworking business where he creates incredible, hand-carved pieces.  He gets around in the women department and hasn’t had a serious girlfriend since his college sweetheart.  It doesn’t help matters with the de Vincent curse looming in the background. Gabe thinks that he had his time to love and it is gone.  He is loyal to his brothers and compassionate to others around him. Gabe is considered the “good brother” or the “nice one”. Good thing his nickname is only “Demon”…

Strong Female Lead: 💋💋💋💋
Nicki Bresson grew up in the de Vincent house because her parents both worked there.  She was always getting in trouble for making too much noise and everyone kind of looked at her as lesser.  Nicki was determined to get the attention of Gabe growing up. He was the only one that was actually nice to her and cared.  She followed him around like a puppy. Nicki hasn’t been back to the de Vincent house in four years – college. She’s grown up, filled out, and doesn’t look like the little girl that left.  NIcki is strong, independent and loyal and she still has a crush on Gabe, even if she doesn’t want to admit it.

Plot: 💋💋💋💋.5
Jennifer Armentrout does a great job of creating a storyline for just this novel – Gabe and Nicki’s story – but also including hints and plot twists to add to the overall “de Vincent” storyline.  I loved how well this book connected and continued from the first book. There were twits in the plot, things you never saw coming, combined with this cute and confusing love story. I could not put it down and really enjoyed it!

Steamy Factor: 💋💋💋
With any de Vincent there is going to be steam and this book is no different.  There are some definite “fan yourself” and “ squeeze your legs together” scenes but they are well done and not all the time.

Overall: 💋💋💋💋
This book is just as thrilling as the first and third book.  It tells the story of how Gabe and Nicki get together but also continues the overarching de Vincent story line.  I loved the suspense and trying to guess who was involved in what. There were subtle hints along the way, bread crumbs if you will, that planted seeds for what was really going on.  I enjoyed this book and series.

Book Summary from author:
Nicolette Bresson never thought she’d return to the de Vincents’ bayou compound. It’s where her parents work, where Nikki grew up… and where she got her heart broken by Gabriel de Vincent himself. Yet here she is, filling in for her sick mother. Avoiding Gabe should be easy, especially when so much of Nikki’s time is spent trying not to be stabbed in the back by the malicious hangers-on who frequent the mansion. But escaping memories of Gabe, much less his smoking-hot presence, is harder than expected—especially since he seems determined to be in Nikki’s space as much as possible.

Gabriel spent years beating himself up over his last encounter with Nikki. He’d wanted her then, but for reasons that were bad for both of them. Things have now changed. Gabe sees more than a girl he’s known forever; he sees a smart, talented, and heartbreakingly beautiful woman… one who’s being stalked from the shadows. Now, Gabe will do anything to keep Nikki safe—and to stop the de Vincent curse from striking again.
